A newer, broader analysis also found no significant lipid effect.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Why individual studies can look more promising<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p>In one eight-week trial, kefir improved some lipid measures compared with a control diet, but low-fat milk produced similar changes. That means the result cannot be credited to kefir fermentation alone.<\/p><p>Another small trial found traditional kefir and commercial kefir did not behave the same way. This is useful scientifically, but it does not tell shoppers that every traditional kefir lowers LDL.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>What to do if cholesterol is your real goal<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p>Choose kefir because you enjoy it, tolerate it, or want a fermented food.
